Volunteer Opportunities with FNPS

The Coccoloba Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society offers various volunteer opportunities. These are wonderful ways to learn more about native plants, get some exercise, or simply socialize a bit.

If you are interested in any opportunities, please drop us a note. Let us know what you're interested in doing along with your availability. We can likely work you into the schedule or revise it to accommodate you.

Various opportunities include:

Education/Outreach -- This includes speaking gigs, manning a booth at various events, festivals, etc. It may include selling native plants.

Plant Sales --  Native Plant Sales are at Cutting Horse (Bonita Springs). It also includes one-time events such as butterfly festivals, county fairs, etc.

Plant Propagation -- We have one facility where we propagate plants in south Lee County Cutting Horse in Bonita Springs

Planting Projects -- We often conduct planting projects or workdays weeding and cleaning prior projects. We generally only work for 2 hours. Often, we have lunch together afterward.

Site Visits -- The Coccoloba Chapter provides free site visits to homes or businesses to discuss the landscaping. These are a lot of fun and a great opportunity to learn about native and exotic plants.

Serving on the Board -- Are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors? How about in a leadership position such as Membership Chair, Education Outreach Chair, or Website Administrator? Just let us know.

Social Media -- Does social media interest you? Would you like to help with Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? Just let us know.

Event Scheduling -- This person would find appropriate events for outreach, create speaker flyers, EventBrite registration, etc.

Native Plant Material Creator -- This person would create plant information sheets, plant ID stakes, and other signage to help people learn more about native plants. This is a mostly at-home job. Can you create WORD documents?

Want to learn more? We're a pretty fun group of people ...
Take a moment and tell us what you'd like from your membership.
